* This safety course is geared towards protecting ones hearing and controlling occupational noise exposure. We will discuss OSHA noise exposure standards 1910.95 and 1926.52.

Description

This course covers the hazards relating to occupational noise exposure. We will cover effective methods in developing an effective hearing protection program. This course teaches how to identify environments which could be harmful to one's hearing and employ countermeasures to protect against it. 

This short, yet effective course is delivered in video format with with the occasional quiz. Screen shots and photos of job sites where occupational noise control plans are implemented are delivered to students in an interactive manner. Students interact with photos of job site occupational noise exposure environments to determine if whether or not engineering controls or protective equipment is required. 


Who this course is for:

  • Anyone who has a concern for their hearing. This may include city workers, construction or general industry employees, or anyone who experiences ringing in the ears or is concerned about hearing loss.
