How Confluence is Organized Preview 06:37

Confluence holds information from internal project info to external-facing documentation or knowledge bases, and anywhere in between. Let's take a look at how Confluence is organized hierarchically.

How to Navigate and Search in Confluence Preview 07:05

Navigation in Confluence is similar to navigation in Jira. You use the top banner to return to your company's home page, or go to different parts of Confluence. It is also where search, Confluence Help, your notification box, and your profile settings reside.

Introduction to Confluence's Space Administration and Look and Feel Tools Preview 07:26

The space administrator role manages a space, and can update permissions, add templates, and adjust the space theme. As a space administrator, you can access the tools to modify your space, themes, color schemes, and space permissions from the Space Tools menu at the bottom left of Confluence.

How to Use Space Permissions in Confluence Preview 06:01

Space permissions define who can do what in your space--these permissions can include groups or individual users. You also control anonymous access in your space permissions. Space permissions define view, add, delete, and export capabilities, depending on the specific permission.

How to Create and Work With Confluence Blueprints and Templates Preview 05:01

Templates are pre-formatted pages within a space or a Confluence site, and you can select from one of these pre-formatted templates to create content. You can have both globally available templates, created by a Confluence administrator, or space templates that you can use in a single space.

How to Use @mentions in Confluence to Collaborate With Your Team Preview 02:48

From @mentions to adding Jira issues into a Confluence page, there are several ways you can connect the two tools to have your team work more collaboratively.

How to Use Tasks in Confluence Preview 03:05

Tasks are a specific type of list that you can use in your Confluence content that allow you to assign items to users along with due dates. Tasks have a special place within Confluence and use mentions to alert users who have been assigned a task. Tasks may be helpful if you need to assign different duties to different users using Confluence. For example, you may assign tasks to users based on the topics of a recent meeting or for work on project. Tasks are good for light-weight tasks management and should not replace issues within Jira.

How to Use Comments Effectively in Confluence Preview 02:01

Jira and Confluence both provide the ability for leaving comments. In Confluence, you can leave a comment on a page, on a space home page, or on a blog post. Confluence also allows you to leave inline comments on a page.

How to Use Jira and Confluence Together Preview 03:54

Linking Jira and Confluence allows for some deep integration and ability to display issues from Jira on Confluence pages, as well as link Confluence pages to Jira issues. In this module, we focus on what you can do with Jira in Confluence, including adding Jira issues from a Confluence page and displaying Jira issues on Confluence. Before using any functions like creating issues from Confluence or displaying Jira issues in Confluence, your system must have Jira and Confluence integrated appropriately by a Jira administrator.

How to Design Reports Using Confluence Preview 02:31

Using Confluence, you can build a report that includes information from Jira, charts from Jira, as well as formatting and content from Confluence. By building this report in Confluence, you can create something that you can collaborate on with your team and eventually export from Confluence.
