Description

In this course you will receive 4 different frameworks that you can use to develop your very own personal and individual elevator pitches. No one method is right for everyone, you choose the elements that best suit your personality and style and build from there.

What is an "elevator pitch"?

An elevator pitch is a hook designed to gain intrigue followed by interest by providing a basic introduction to whatever you are have to offer be that, you, your product, your service or your offering.

An "elevator pitch" is a succinct, carefully planned, and well-practiced message about your professional self that your grandmother should be able to understand in the time it takes to go from the ground floor to the 15th floor in an elevator.

It should be of interest and last no longer than 60 seconds; the words should resonate with your unique personality and interests and most importantly of all make you memorable and different for all the right reasons.

This course gives you the skills and confidence to make a great first impression every time you deliver your personalised and carefully crafted elevator pitches. As you gain in confidence you will create more pitches specific for different situations and people you meet enabling you to appeal to the best people around, at every you event you attend.

In over 20 years of business I have seen the good the bad and the very ugly when it comes to elevator pitches, I know how to excite and connect with frameworks that work.

This course is an introduction to the world of communication, talking to strangers is not something we all find natural, when its prepared and professional we can be our true confident selves.

Who this course is for:

  • This course is definitely for you if you believe that the way to stand out in a crowd is to give your name, job title and company hoping that will excite the other person
  • This elevator pitch course is designed to help all communicators get their message across in a short and powerful message that attracts people to your team

Every process is slightly different to the last, everyone feels more comfortable with different communication styles and language patterns. I have always found strict processes a challenge to follow, and tend to fall by the way said very quickly - four steps are easy to follow.

Elevator Pitch 7 Common Mistakes Preview 07:48

How often have you seen it when other people get it wrong while talking to others or greeting strangers. We've all seen it and we all now know what is meant to be done more of the time all of the time.

You will make mistakes when you use your elevator picthes, some times you will nail it and other times you may want to run away and hide. There is no perfect science here, we are dealing with human communication and everyone does it differently and everyone should do it the way that feels best for them.

Please avoid these common mistakes and when it does not work correctly be forgiving of yourself - the word to use then is NEXT!

Elevator Pitch 8 Practice Practice Practice Preview 04:35

    Practice Practice Practice

You wouldn't give a presentation infront of top people in your industry, company or University without practicing - winging it does not work. Turning up unprepared is disrespectful for the person or people you are speaking to.

Practice does mean out loud - infront of other people - and then take feedback. If you have not got people you can do live performances with then use your camera and video it or video call it to somebody else.

Find your natural flow so you become comfortable and actually have fun doing this.

Elevator Pitch 9 Questions & Answers Preview 05:37

Bonus material is always recieved well - these questions have been asked by clients, colleagues and students alike.

How many elevator pitches do I need?

    Can we make them longer?

How long before I can get away from others?

How much practice do I really need to do?

Body language speaks a thousand words, what is important?

Ask more questions and I can add more to this bonus section
