Introduction Preview 01:56

Painting Tools Preview 05:18

A list of the tools that you should prepare in this course.

Warm-up Preview 02:50

The basic element of drawing is composed of lines and curves. Warm-up is an important process to help improving the quality of the lines esp. for those who don’t draw that often. In addition, you will learn how to draw the hemlines with the wavy lines.

Nuanced Lines Preview 03:26

A line that is important in fashion illustration is called Nuanced Line. The combined characteristics of thickness and thinness in the nuanced line will make the drawing appear more elegant than using the normal line.

Definition Preview 01:24

Learn the meanings of value, tone and grayscale.

Theory of Light and Shade Preview 04:27

Let’s see how one light source can create a range of different values on a spherical object.

Color Wheel and Color Schemes Preview 02:52

Learn the basic color theory and basic relationships that can be used to illustrate your designs.

The Meanings of Colors Preview 02:51

Learn the basic meanings of colors in association with nature, psychology, history and culture.

Drawing a female face with pencil. Preview 04:59

Learn how to add shading on the female face with pencils. In this video, I use a 2B pencil for the light shade and an EE pencil (maybe not available anymore, so use other dark grade pencil) for the darkest shade.

Drawing a female face with color pencils. Preview 07:25

Learn how to render the skin tone in accordance with the theory of light and shade. I use 3 colors from the basic 12-color set to mix up the skin tone color.

Drawing a male face with marker. Preview 08:12

Rendering with marker is more difficult than pencil. The characteristics of the ink will deliver a vivid and strong contrast on the drawing, but more attention is required as mistakes can occur easily. The practice of nuanced line will be useful when rendering with marker.

Drawing a female figure with marker. Preview 05:32

In this video, you will learn how to render the skin tone on a female figure with marker. Using marker is a quick way to color the skin tone, but you need to be careful with how much pressure you apply and how fast or slow your stroke is.

Drawing a male figure with marker. Preview 06:02

The male figure is more angular and muscular than the female one, so you can color the body by part more easily. Let’s see the demonstration alongside the female figure.
