This Florida All-Lines Adjuster designation (prelicensing) course covers the areas of Property and Liability Insurance Concepts, Personal Automobile Policy, Business Auto Policy and Mechanical Breakdown Coverage, Homeowner Policies, Personal Inland Marine and Flood Insurance, Boiler and Machinery Insurance, Workers Compensation Insurance, Health Insurance, and more. There are three common uses of the 6-20 license:

An "independent adjuster" means a person licensed as an all-lines adjuster who is self-appointed or appointed and employed by an independent adjusting firm or other independent adjuster, and who undertakes on behalf of an insurer to ascertain and determine the amount of any claim, loss, or damage payable under an insurance contract or undertakes to effect settlement of such claim, loss, or damage.

A "company employee adjuster" means a person licensed as an all-lines adjuster who is appointed and employed on an insurer's staff of adjusters or a wholly owned subsidiary of the insurer, and who undertakes on behalf of such insurer or other insurers under common control or ownership to ascertain and determine the amount of any claim, loss, or damage payable under a contract of insurance, or undertakes to effect settlement of such claim, loss, or damage.

A “public adjuster apprentice” is a person who is licensed as an all-lines adjuster and is appointed and employed by, or has a contract with, a licensed and appointed all lines public adjuster in good standing with the department or a public adjusting firm that employs at least one licensed and appointed all lines public adjuster in good standing with the department to assist in ascertaining and determining the amount of any claim, loss, or damage payable under an insurance contract, or who undertakes to effect settlement of such claim, loss, or damage. After being licensed and appointed for at least six months as a public adjuster apprentice, you may take the 3-20 State Exam and become a licensed 3-20 Public Adjuster.

This is a Florida-approved 6-20 Accredited Claims Adjuster (ACA) designation course, which functions like a pre-licensing course (you must take it before getting your license). This course waives the 6-20 All-Lines Adjuster State exam!

No Classroom Required. The entire course is available online, including the Final Exam, from anywhere you have access to the internet. Steps to getting a 6-20 license

A "public adjuster" is any person, except a duly licensed attorney at law as exempted under s. 626.860, who, for money, commission, or any other thing of value, prepares, completes, or files an insurance claim form for an insured or third-party claimant or who, for money, commission, or any other thing of value, acts on behalf of, or aids an insured or third-party claimant in negotiating for or effecting the settlement of a claim or claims for loss or damage covered by an insurance contract or who advertises for employment as an adjuster of such claims. The term also includes any person who, for money, commission, or any other thing of value, solicits, investigates, or adjusts such claims on behalf of a public adjuster.

Students desiring to become a 3-20 Public Adjuster, according to the new law that took effect January 1, 2018, may do so by following these steps: 1. Take and pass our ACA Designation course (INS013FL40). 2. Apply to the FLDFS to become a 6-20 All-Lines Adjuster (Independent/Company) - The State Exam is waived (not required) 3. Become hired AND APPOINTED as a 31-20 Public Adjuster Apprentice (This apprenticeship used to be a separate license, but now is an appointment under the 6-20 license) 4. Serve as a Public Adjuster Apprentice for at least 6 months 5. Apply for your 3-20 license (State Exam IS REQUIRED) 6. Receive your 3-20 Public Adjuster license

No additional coursework is required.

OnLine Training Institute (OLT) is pleased to offer Florida state-approved insurance pre-licensing courses completely online including the Final Exam. Work at your own pace with your instructor available by email, posts in the forum, Moodle messaging or by telephone. Our courses are designed and taught to comply with the Florida Department of Financial Services' requirements for pre-licensing insurance courses. Upon enrolling, you will be notified of course procedures by email from [email protected] within one business day after receipt of registration. Upon successful completion of the course, you will be eligible to sit for the state examination (state exam must be taken at a PearsonVue site). Once you successfully complete the course and submit your Course Completion Affidavit/Grade Submittal Form within the course, OnLine Training will receive your grades, notify the State of your course completion, and email you your Certificate of Completion.

A special type of prelicensing course is the Designation course. Our 4-40 Florida Registered Customer Service Representative (RCSR) and 6-20 Accredited Claims Adjuster (ACA) courses fall into this category. A designation course functions like a pre-licensing course (you must take it before getting your license), but sucessfully passing a designation course waives the State exam!

Courses from OnLine Training use a proven instructional methodology that ensures learning through research-based pedagogy that gives you small doses of information and then asks you a question on that material that you must answer. This process keeps you engaged in the learning process and helps you drill the concepts with many questions throughout the course - on almost every lesson page, with quizzes at the end of each unit, and a Final Exam that you must pass with a 70% or higher. Lessons and quizzes may be repeated as many times as desired to improve your learning, the highest quiz grade is always kept for your records (lesson scores are not counted in the final grade score). OLT pre-licensing courses allow you to take the final exam a second time, if you do not pass it the first time or desire a higher score. With this many questions built in to the course, many students find that they do not need to purchase additional practice exams, cram courses or exam generator courses. However, if you desire further practice exams and drills to feel confident taking your state exam, OnLine Training provides some of those as well.

Learn to excel in the insurance industry with OLT's premier online courses! These courses are designed to assist individuals interested in entering and persisting in the insurance profession.
