Introduction to tactical periodisation & dimensions of performance Preview 19:44

Students will be presented the basics of tactical periodisation and how it can be used as a framework when forming tactics in rugby union and in particular the scrum.

Moments & moments of the scrum Preview 11:55

This lecture will introduce the framework in which we first break-down our style of play or scrummaging style. By firstly categorising tactics by definition of moments, allows the coach to reduce complexity, allowing tactics to become more coachable.

Objectives, main principles & the domino effect Preview 13:56

Students will be given an insight how to further define the moments of their scrum. This will include characterisation of each moment with objectives, main principles with consideration of the potential knock-on effect.

Sub-principles & micro details Preview 12:42

This lecture will introduce a further sub-level of tactics which will support their relevant main principle. The inclusion of these sub-principles reduces complexity, allows for understanding & increases the probability of the desired skills to be expressed on-pitch.
